What a wonderful thing to do on a 90 degree summer day - spend it at a soccer tournament with virtually no place to escape the heat! Not certain who's idea it was to play a tournament(or even have a tournament) in the heat of the summer. We learned there is a good reason why soccer is mainly played in the fall and spring. Despite the heat, it was entertaining watching Erika and her teammates play in the boys division(a first). And Erika scored her first goal of her competitive soccer career ;) Exciting stuff!
